That's right. But fifteen years ago you never needed a mobile phone or a fax
machine. Times change, and a lot of your customers, especially those under 45,
will expect you to have a website - they also expect to be able to email you.
We don't blame you. The most that you need to know is how to send an email.
We do everything else. You don't need to understand how or why the internet
works - that's where we add value to your business.
Good luck to them - if you want an all-singing all-dancing website, then it
will cost you a lot more than the standard packages on offer here. We specialise
in cheap website design, build and hosting. If you're needs are more complicated than the fixed
price packages, then see our sister company
- they will build a bespoke website to match your needs, but it won't be cheap.
We know. A lot of designers hit unforeseen problems, budget overruns or just
plain old poor or shoddy workmanship. That's why we offer a limited range of
products - no room for misunderstanding. And the best part - you are under no
obligation to pay until you have seen the final website; if you ain't happy - we
don't get paid.
There are lots of places - mostly with two things in common
Firstly - they throw pop-up advertisements all over your page. We offer you
your own pages with no pop-up or other advertising except for our logo in the
bottom right hand corner of the page - very discrete.
Secondly - your website name is usually something horrible like
w w
w.freewebhosting.adsforfree.con/freepages/server17/uk/lefthandedflagpolepainters45
it just doesn't look of feel right on your business cards, letter headings or
brochures.
We provide you with a top level name i.e.
www.left-handed-flagpole-painters.co.uk so that customers can easily find your
site.
You have - they'll host your website, give you unlimited email addresses etc.
and a lot more besides.
But you'll probably need to spend a few hundred pounds on new software, and
it'll take you months before you realise you're in over your head and getting
nowhere fast.
It's because they are so complicated that we offer this service. We'd rather
you were out there doing your 'real' job.
Easy - you can continue to keep your website with us and pay a further fee.
After eleven months we approach you to discuss any changes you need to be made,
and then you can renew.
If in the meantime you've become an internet convert and you want a very
complicated full-blown website, that's fine. Don't renew with us or approach our
sister company
who specialise in full featured websites - we'll even pass your current website to
your new website developers.
okay - we accept that if you move premises, change your telephone number or
change your personal email address, then you need to update your website. We
will make these kinds of changes for free.
But, if you change your firm/company name, or your main business, and your
site needs a complete overhaul, then we will need to charge you for the changes (but in reality, how many times have you done this in the last 3 years?).
Very few - we are not be able to work for businesses involved in gambling,
adult interests, racism or any illegal activity.
There isn't one. We've spent a lot of time working on the internet and
websites such as these, so we can write and publish your website fairly easily;
hence our costs are very low. By limiting your website to fairly basic
information details, we know that we will not encounter any technical issues.
We've done a lot of thinking about this. Our normal process is to buy the
name for you. That way, we will do all of the administration involved on your
behalf, not only at the time of purchase, but also looking after renewals etc.
Of course, we can help you to buy the name yourself through our affiliates.
You don't need to do anything now. We will discuss this further when you are
happy with the website, but we make it very simple. You can buy the name yourself,
or we can mail you written instructions, or can talk you through the process
over the phone. If you are really nervous (or do not have a credit card), we
will buy on your behalf.
Either way, the costs for one .co.uk name are already included in the fixed
fee, so if you buy your website name direct (using the above link), we will
deduct this from your invoice.
Good. Go to the 'Website in 3 easy steps'
page - complete the (very) simple form and
sit back and wait.
We can't describe the feeling you will get when you type in your website address
and up pops your company - it's quite exhilarating the first time.
And you can really impress your friends and family (especially if you have
teenage children) when you nonchalantly say, 'oh yes, just go and check my
website'
Okay, please read the FAQ (frequently asked questions),
or send us an email using the feedback form and we
will reply to you.
